This special project involved the creation of multiple large-scale maps showing an overview of San Francisco and details of specific locations within the city. To begin, I located a city map file in vector format. However, the existing map was cluttered with transportation routes and additional text which had to be removed. After making these modifications in Illustrator, I placed the vector file and added design elements and location markers in InDesign. The final printed product was 5′ x 3′ and mounted on foam core board.
